1. Who We Are
Built by Brokers operates a real estate website platform for agents and brokerages. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform or visit websites powered by it.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and billing information.
Usage data: We collect information about how you use the platform, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken in the admin dashboard.
Lead data: Your tenant site may collect contact information from visitors who submit lead capture forms. This data is stored in your account and transmitted to you as the site owner.
Cookies: We use cookies to maintain your admin session and to power optional analytics integrations you configure (e.g., Google Analytics). Visitor-facing sites may use cookies for session management and analytics.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To send transactional emails (receipts, account alerts, lead notifications)
- To respond to support requests
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Lead Data and Visitor Privacy
When visitors submit contact forms on your tenant-powered website, their information is stored in your account and emailed to you. As a site operator, you are a data controller for that visitor data and are responsible for handling it in compliance with applicable privacy laws (including CAN-SPAM, CCPA, and GDPR where applicable).
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Stripe — payment processing (governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy)
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Neon — database hosting
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot and spam protection on contact forms. When you submit a form, Cloudflare processes information about your browser and interaction with the page to verify you are human. This processing is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Addendum.
Optional integrations you configure (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.) are governed by those providers’ own privacy policies.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active. Upon cancellation, data is retained for 30 days to allow export, then deleted. Lead data submitted through your site is retained until you delete it or close your account.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
You may access, correct, or delete your account data at any time through the admin dashboard or by contacting us. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what data we have and to request deletion.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
